In 2018, Ted established NegotiaTED with a bold vision rooted in his extensive background in commercial real estate and finance. Drawing upon over three decades of expertise in these fields, Ted envisioned a consultancy firm that would stand out for its client-centric ethos. His track record of success in guiding clients towards their objectives further solidifies Ted's standing as a trusted expert in the industry.
Ted's journey in entrepreneurship took flight in 2010 with the creation of FruitRevival, a venture born out of his personal quest for a quality apple snack during his Downtown Denver workdays. This early foray into startups showcased Ted's commitment to solving real-world problems.
Recognizing the burgeoning potential of the cannabis industry, Ted co-founded Sweet Leaf Capital in 2016. The company, under Ted's leadership, secured over $200 million in commitments, positioning Sweet Leaf as a key player in equipment financing and real estate lending for cannabis businesses nationwide.
In 2023, Ted embarked on yet another entrepreneurial venture, co-founding Clarity Legal Funding. A Presettlement Legal Finance company. The company's remarkable growth can be attributed to a robust team of partners and investors.
Looking forward to 2024, Ted is brimming with excitement about the launch of "Bridging Homes and Hearts" alongside his business partner, Mike Glade. Mike has over 20 years of professional experience in real estate, land and water resources. He began his career as a Professional Engineer and has been responsible for driving real estate expansion and consolidation as well as facilities services for more than 20M square feet of international commercial and industrial space, plant management of public water utilities, water rights, and driving Operational Excellence, sustainability, and employee engagement through facility improvements and process revisions.
Mike has also been responsible for driving the identification and detailed diligence processes and assessments for global mergers, acquisitions, and disposition of real assets. His love for residential homes was sparked during college when he drafted up semi-custom homes and finished classic residential hard wood floors, while taking interior design, drafting, and multiple structural engineering courses. His processed approach also provides excellent understanding around all of the stressors that come with selling a home like packing, cleaning, repairing, staging, moving, showings, inspections, negotiating etc.
Mike’s diverse experience in real estate, resource management, engineering, construction management, and community engagement allows him to manage complex projects and programs that have clearly defined Return on Investments that meet budgetary, social targets and the goals of a family or business. He prides himself in people engagement and respect while managing broad teams of experts including real estate brokers, architects, engineers, contractors, procurement, legal and finance teams to manage the “big picture.” The facilitation of timely and clear communications across the project team is important to Mike and will result in projects that deliver on budget and schedule for “win-win” results.
Mike has specialized in leading teams through both continuous improvement processes as well as the development of targets that meet global initiatives like the United Nations CEO Water Mandate and United Nations Global Compact’s Sustainable Development Goals. Mike is a recognized leader within the community and has been engaged at an international level in driving community engagement around land, water, and environmental challenges.
